Vchip parental code reset

we have a curtis mathis cmc13101 which I guess is now daewoo we got it from a friend and nobody know the 4 digit password for the parental control. Is there a way to reset it or whatever to change the tv ratings lock my wife cant watch her silly reality show on VH1 and shes madder than a wet hen please help thank you...
