SKYFI does not tune well

My tuner (wheel) does not work well. Direct punch in of numbers is fine. I am concerned that it might be an accretion of dust and other gunk. It is old! Can I use a computer spray type cleaner to clean it? Is is openable and cleanable like other electronics?...
