Epson stylus c46 inkjet printer

The printer will not print. The paper just goes through and comes out blank. It seems as though it is sensing the paper but is not printing. I have installed new black and colour cartridges. Could it be the print head as I have not used the printer for about 6 months....

Impossible to change cartridge

Both the green on-off light and the red ink light are flashing off and on together and it will not allow me to gain access to the cartridge holder which does not move when i press the red button. ...
