GENERAC 9777-2--4000XL: | |
I am planning on using a transfer switch with my 4000XL. The switch is rated at 30 AMPs or 7500 watts. The input is a NEMA L14-30 four prong plug. The four prong outlet on the generator is only rated at 120/240V 20 amps while the three prong outlet is rated at 120V 30 amps. I would like to use the 30 AMP outlet but don't know if it is possible. Since the four prong outlet is fused a 20 amps it seems I will be wasting nearly half of the generators capacity to use the transfer switch. Can anyone enlighten me.

The last time I used it it worked fine, now there is not output. Looked for fuses in the control panel, and the generator, found none. What now?... Forum: diplofix.com - Von: ct0218 - Datum: 2009-02-01 22:11:22 |

My generator dies after 10 seconds. Disconnected the oil pressure switch and now it runs fine. I bought a new low oil pressure shutdown module which is a square plastic box with leads. For the life of me I cannot find out where it goes. I have the breakout of the low oil pressure shutdown module, but there is no context of where it is in the engine.
Am I confusing myself and I really just need to replace the low oil pressure switch (that I can find by following the leads).... Forum: diplofix.com - Von: shauneq - Datum: 2009-01-19 21:25:37 |
