harmon kardon avr 80 II auto tv on`

unit keeps shutting down even though I have a video feed plugged into " TV Video in" connection in back - any ideas how to over-ride so that it does not shut off? obviously is not reading a video presense even though the tv is on? should I run it directly from the cable box maybe?...
