we purchased a microtek scanmaker 8700 scanner with silverfast 5, but we would use siverfast with a microtek scanmaker iii instead. Can we do that?

ich hab nen uralt-scanner marke microtek scanmaker 636!
so!
außerdem hab ich win2k!
jetzt hab ich mir den win2k/xp treiber von microtek runtergeladen, das ding mit dem drucker-port verbunden und den installiert!
bei der installation kam sone option ''parallele druckerschnittstelle''
