can't stop right reel in FF???

When I press the FF button for the left side it speeds up and when I press the stop button it stops, BUT when I press the FF button for the right reel it speed up real fast and I can't stop it unless I shut off the power, why?...

how to clean up a teac x 1000 r

Has anyone cleaned up the pinch roller mechanism of a gummed up with age teac x 1000 r tape deck. It sounds like this is a common problem with this deck. I have found references to it on the web but no specific instructions how to clean it up, lube it and make it work again. thanks...
