how do you work the stop watch function...

Anytime I try to use another function the watch shuts down and resets to 12:00. I get a code ( 85 40 05 30) but i dont know what that means. I have replaced the battery within the past 6 months....

Resetting watch

My watch also keeps resetting every 3 or 4 hours. I can set the date and time and it will beep and reset to January 1,2003 0000 every time. Seen another similar problem on this site but no answers. Any solutions besides just not using digital display?...
